Hadn't seen that producer here before.

Also, in case you're interested, I'll be working on a large feature article on Castello del Terriccio very soon. Should be interesting with a review of their line up, history, and a few questions of the Estate owner.

Cheers,
JTuscanVineshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06209120978343208652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7572026409225809274.post-31358026365571531272013-06-17T16:48:40.633-04:002013-06-17T16:48:40.633-04:00good notes John, very interesting.

The 09 has a little less freshness and acidity and also spent less time in barrel, the fruit is a little more forward and the nuances a little less apparent, but still an excellent wine. I enjoyed a bottle over dinner in Godimento diVino restaurant in Montepulciano in April.
Try and find their top wine, Salco Evoluzione if you can, a similar price point to Poliziano's Asinone or Boscarelli's Nocio, definitely one of the top wines of the area.Adam Vnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7572026409225809274.post-13148922326885887472013-06-14T22:42:42.361-04:002013-06-14T22:42:42.361-04:00http://www.skurnikwines.com/prospects.cgi?rm=view_...http://www.skurnikwines.com/prospects.cgi?rm=view_prospect_detail&prospect_id=400

Very big at 15% but great Sangio, Merlot, Cab ST. The nose was incredible. (closer to $30)

I am not familiar with Rapace. Do tell?

Thanks,
JohnTuscanVineshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06209120978343208652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7572026409225809274.post-80561837858123462782013-06-14T12:18:01.476-04:002013-06-14T12:18:01.476-04:00Enjoy the blog!

I have some in the cellar which I tried a month or so back- good but needs more time to be a knockout. It can be found at Zachys on sale for $20 which is an incredible value!

Best,
DaveDavey Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02290190814439585732noreply@blogger.com
